AS-levels at Tapton School

Five AS-levels: Biology, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Further Mathematics.

After completing them I had to go back to India for visa reasons.

2019, back to India

The move that reset everything

A different country, a different curriculum, a different scoring system. Nothing transferred cleanly.

Restarting inside a system you did not train for teaches you to work out what is actually being measured before you optimise for it. That is the same instinct a case interview asks for.

2019 to 2021, Hyderabad

Intermediate, Telangana State Board

Intermediate, the Indian equivalent of AS and A-levels. Grade A, 866 marks.

Two years rebuilding a record from scratch in a curriculum I had never seen, through COVID.

2021 to 2025, Hyderabad

BE Electrical and Electronics Engineering

Osmania University. Final CGPA 8.54 out of 10, First Class with Distinction.

Class Representative for four years. Overall Head of Electtrico Rivista. Deputy Head of Marketing at the Swayam entrepreneurship cell.

First place at Wolong India Engineering Day. First prize for a paper presentation on machine learning fault classification in power systems.

The hinge

Technical depth,
commercial
judgement

Engineering taught me how systems behave under load. I wanted to know how capital behaves under the same conditions, so I traded through the degree with my own money.

It was an expensive way to learn judgement, and it worked.

First year
£1,000 of savings into one stock at an all-time high, on someone else's conviction. Down roughly 60% in six months.
The rest of the degree
Rebuilt it with position sizing and agents I coded myself to run rules I could not follow by hand. Roughly 12% a year.
Charts show the shape of my own positions, indexed to entry. Illustrative of the path, not a price series.

What I took from it was not a trading record. It was how to size a decision under uncertainty, and how to build the system that executes it.

Markets were the wrong place to keep applying that. Prices are the output of a decision somebody else already made. I wanted to be in the room where it gets made.

So the bridge was Financial Technology at Imperial, and from there, strategy.

2025 to 2026, London

MSc Financial Technology, Imperial College Business School

Predicted Distinction. Elected Careers Leader by the cohort, representing 80+ students.

I pivoted into consulting almost immediately. Understanding how a price forms was no longer the interesting part. How the work gets done with a client in the room was.

Client-facing work at Blackmont Consulting and 180 Degrees Consulting settled it: repositioning a manufacturer, defending a board against activists, sizing markets for a founder. Eight engagements in a year, run in parallel rather than in sequence.

All of them are written up in the work index.
